Tea It Up with Phil and Cindy: Andrew Lewis Caldwell and Chris Scherr.

Andrew Lewis Caldwell was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. At an early age, he developed a love for the arts—specifically acting and comedy. He moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15 and soon began working with Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel. He also created and ran his own sketch comedy show, LOL, which is where he discovered his passion for teaching, developing talent, and collaborating with others who shared his dream of working in entertainment. Over the past 20 years, Andrew has dedicated himself to honing his craft, earning over 80 credits in film and television. Some of the roles he is most proud of include appearances in Spider-Man Noir, The Matrix Resurrections, Haunt, Henry Danger, Hannah Montana, iZombie, College, The Librarians, Transformers, and How I Met Your Mother. Now based in Buffalo, NY, where he lives with his family, Andrew continues to work both on set and as a mentor to aspiring actors. When he’s not acting, he is passionate about sharing his knowledge and collaborating with fellow performers.

Chris Scherr is a graduate of Fredonia University, where they earned a degree in Media Arts and Acting. With over a decade of experience running a sketch comedy troupe in Buffalo and Toronto, Chris sharpened his talents as a writer, performer, and director through countless live performances. In addition to experience stand-up and improv—training at renowned institutions like Second City Chicago and iO Chicago—he’s also been a fixture in Western New York’s theater and film scenes, with numerous stage performances and appearances in locally produced films, web series.

Jordan Lema is the CEO of Lemur Studios and the City Producer of the Buffalo 48 Hour Film Project. Located in Buffalo’s theater district, Lemur Studios features video and photo production spaces, editing suites, and a podcast studio. His team creates content for advertising, public relations, fundraising, and HR, working both in-studio and on location with leading local brands and organizations.

Jordan is an advocate for creative entrepreneurship, serving on the advisory board of the UB Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. He is a former Vice President of Communications for AAF Buffalo and was named one of Buffalo Business First’s 40 Under 40 in 2020. Through the Buffalo 48 Hour Film Project, he has helped hundreds of local filmmakers produce short films for thousands of festival attendees.

Julien Louis is well known for his work as a First Assistant Director, Production Assistant and First A. D. on many feature films and television. He's known for several films, including Ombis: Alien Invasion and Prisoners of the Dead. He co-founded the Buffalo-based production company DefTone Pictures Studios [Defunct], the Buffalo Film Extras and is a co-founder for 388 Studios. Often classified as a "magician" for the horror and special effect featured in his films. Adam creates epic landscapes through thrifty creative decisions and storytelling.

Tea It Up with Phil and Cindy Episode 2

"Tea It Up With Phil & Cindy", we speak with local actor Jayne Vendetti and cinematographer Tomas Waz.  Jayne studied acting at the Lee Institute of Acting in New York City, has appeared in many commercials and the Buffalo 48 Hour Film Project. She is the recipient of the 2024 Best Actress Award, Buffalo 48 Hour Film Project. Jayne also studied acting at Frank Rossi Studio and ALC Studios.  

Tomas graduated from the University of Rochester with degrees in Brain & Cognitive Sciences, and English Literature & Theatre. During his studies, he honed his skills in production design, acting, and directing, contributing to multiple productions as part of his theatre concentration. He is also a published researcher, having studied virtual reality’s role in neurorehabilitation before shifting his focus to filmmaking. Tomas has worked on a range of short film projects, received accolades at student festivals, 48 hour film festivals across the country, and produces multi-camera archival and promotional content for Broadway artists.

From working with various acting studios, film and commercial producers, the Buffalo 48 Hour Film Project to our own production of a new series called “The Healing Waters Lodge”. It is a very casual discussion of how we both got into working in this field and how we met on various sets.
