Broadcast on January 9, 1983, the program featured Fabulous Freebird Michael Hayes facing off against Jose Lothario, Great Yatsu versus the Samoan, and a main event pitting King Kong Bundy and Great Kabuki against Bugsy McGraw and Al Madril. All this action, plus an inspiring promo cut by the one and only David Von Erich.
Just in time for this year's Royal Rumble, Dale Headlock and Tate Suplex take a look back at the grand event from 2006. The nineteenth annual event not only featured the 30-man competition, but also saw the likes of Mickie James taking on Ashley Massaro with Trish Stratus as the special guest referee, JBL facing The Boogeyman, and a six-way Cruiserweight Championship match. As if that wasn't enough, the WWE also packed in a WWE Championship match between The Edge and John Cena, and a World Heavyweight Championship match between Kurt Angle and Mark Henry. Did we mention there was also a 30-man Royal Rumble match on the card?
