A career that spanned 22 years, between the CFL and NFL, and a few different teams along the way. Moon is a Hall of Fame player for both leagues, and gets a bit of a biopic in this episode.

Nickel City Con was loaded with friends and fans alike. Matt interviews Russ Pacenzia, host of The Closed Fist podcast, as well as Sport’s Assassins, formerly of the Empire Sports Network, a huge media outlet for Buffalo Sports in the 90’s and early 2000’s, as well as a quick talk with his nephew Mikey about his love of football, trading card collection, and first year of fantasy football experience.

Alternate Realities. A theme commonly explored in science fiction. Comics, tv shows, movies and video games have all dealt with the idea of life happening a different way. Being a huge sci-fi buff myself, I decided to bring that take to my favorite form of entertainment, the National Football League.

In this episode, Seattle Seahawks fan Donny McCoy returns to the show to discuss the effects and consequences of certain draft picks being made, and what the NFL would look today if those picks actually happened. Looking at the 2012, 2005, 2004, 1998 and 1983 drafts, Donny and myself try our best to paint a new and different present of the NFL.

When the new season of the NFL officially began, the floodgate of free agency began, there were some major, yet expected people to move around. Le’Veon Bell, Nick Foles, Antonio Brown, etc. Nobody, and I mean nobody, expected the Browns to make the biggest acquisition of the 2019 NFL year, a massive trade to the NY Giants to acquire Odell Beckham Jr. While the move has been in place for a few weeks, it’s a major power move for a franchise that has made a complete 180 over the last 2 years.

Joining for his debut episode is friend and big NY Giants fan Dave Hernandez, who discusses his Giants, as well as the bright future for the Cleveland Browns, and the 2019 outlook for the AFC North, as well as the rest of the NFL!
